2140-43 are three-engine (700 hp each), four-axle gensets built by NRE at Mt.Vernon, Illinois. Threy arrived at IHB's Gibson Shops in July, 2011.

Some of the SD20 units have been rebuilt at Gibson shops.

The SW1500 and GP40 units were remanufactured by GE Mexico from 2001 to 2004.

GP40P-2 4010 was a Southern Pacific bicentennial unit.

At one time or another, nearly eighty NW2s wore IHB paint. The last two remaining units, 8811 and 8814, were retired during the summer of 2011 after 61 years of continuous service. SW1200s 2256 and 2272 were also retired during this period. All four were trade-ins for the gensets and will be scrapped in accordance with a federal/state program that provided financial assistance for purchasing the gensets.

Thirty-eight SW7 and all SW9 units were sold or retired by 2004. A few of the NW2s and SW7s were converted to slugs and are still in operation.
